Booking

Instant confirmation

Yes! When you book directly on our website, your reservation is locked in immediately. You will instantly receive an email confirmation with your booking details and a guaranteed reservation for your chosen date.

payment methods

Your booking is processed securely using CaptainBook, a trusted European reservation system, with all card transactions handled safely via Stripe. We charge no extra fees or processing surcharges at checkout.

We offer two flexible payment choices:

Pay in Full: Pay 100% online by credit or debit card when you book directly on our website.
50% Deposit: Pay a 50% deposit online to lock in your date, and pay the remaining balance in cash to Ross at the end of your tour.

Bank transfers can also be arranged upon special request prior to booking.

Cancellation and refund

A full refund will be granted in the following situations:

Force Majeure Events: Unforeseen circumstances beyond the customer’s control, such as extreme weather, natural disasters, or medical emergencies.
Cancellations Made 48 Hours in Advance: Bookings canceled at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled service will be refunded in full.

Refunds will be processed through our payment partner and credited to the original payment method within 15 working days.

children or seniors guests

Yes, guests of all ages are welcome. Our itineraries require only standard mobility. For optimal comfort and easy access, we recommend our Suzuki Hybrid vehicle (a boarding step is also provided for the Cabriolet). As a private excursion, the route and pace are tailored completely to your group.

Solo Travellers

Solo guests are welcome on all Full-Day and Customised Tours. Half-day tours require a minimum of 2 passengers to operate.

Yes, 100%. Every tour is strictly for you and your group. We focus on delivering an exclusive, unhurried experience tailored to your rhythm and interests—no strangers, no rigid schedules.

Half-day Adventures

Featuring our custom-designed routes to avoid crowds, a flexible itinerary, and an immersive focus on a specific region. Choose between our classic Cabriolet or modern Suzuki Hybrid.

Full-day Immersions

A complete circuit of East or West Madeira using our hand-picked routes. Driven exclusively in our Suzuki Vitara Hybrid, this is the ultimate way to comfortably explore the island over two relaxed days.

Customized vs. Regular Tours?

While our standard tours always offer flexibility along the route, they follow fixed itineraries to cover Madeira’s classic highlights. A Customised Experience gives you total creative freedom to design a bespoke route built entirely around your wishes—whether that’s capturing a golden sunset, exploring off-the-beaten-track locations, or scheduling a pickup outside our usual service areas.

You can also pick your favourite vehicle for the journey: our classic open-air Cabriolet or modern Suzuki Hybrid.

Important Note: Price is per group, so the rate stays exactly the same whether you travel solo, as a couple, or as a group of three

Vehicles

capacity and accessibility

Our Suzuki Hybrid comfortably seats up to 4 passengers, while our classic Cabriolet seats up to 3 passengers.

For easy boarding, the Hybrid offers effortless SUV entry, and we bring a small step stool for the Cabriolet. We are happy to accommodate foldable wheelchairs in both vehicles (limited to a maximum of 2 guests in the Cabriolet).

How the cabriolet roof works

We adjust the open-air experience depending on the weather and season:

Spring, Autumn & Winter: We partially open the roof and side windows when conditions are pleasant so you can enjoy open views while staying cozy.
Summer: The soft top opens completely for full cabriolet sunshine and fresh ocean air.
Rain or Unstable Weather: The roof remains closed for safety and comfort, or we may utilize the Suzuki Hybrid to ensure you stay warm and dry throughout the day.

Unexpected Maintenance

If any of our exclusive vehicles requires unexpected maintenance or servicing, we will automatically operate your tour using the best available Suzuki in our fleet (matching our high standard of comfort, quality, and exclusivity). By completing your booking, you agree that the tour will be conducted in the best available vehicle on the day.

Logistics, Pick-Up & Exclusions

pick-up and drop-off

Yes, complementary pick-up and drop-off are included for accommodations in Funchal, Caniço, and Câmara de Lobos.

For pick-ups outside these main areas, custom arrangements can be made through our Customized Tour option. Please contact us before booking to confirm details and availability for your location.

Do you offer hiking transfers?

No. We do not provide point-to-point trail shuttles or hiking logistics.

However, we are flexible! Our sightseeing tours easily accommodate short, scenic walks like PR11 Vereda dos Balcões or Pedra Rija (Pico do Arieiro). For full, long-distance hikes (like Pico do Arieiro to Pico Ruivo), we recommend booking with specialized transfer companies.

Is this a 4x4 off-road tour?

No, we do not offer 4×4 off-road safaris. We stick to scenic paved roads, though we occasionally drive on short unpaved rural paths to reach local viewpoints—always prioritizing your comfort and safety.

Every tour is personally hosted and guided by Ross, a local Madeira expert with a Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism and over 10 years of professional industry experience.

Languages spoken: English, Portuguese, and Spanish.

Nature Protection & Safety

Your safety and island preservation are our highest priorities:

Environmental Protection: We actively practice sustainable tourism. To protect fragile ecosystems from over-tourism, high-impact sites (like Fanal) are removed from standard routes. Special requests for Fanal can be accommodated on selective occasions to minimize our eco-footprint.
Safety First: We strictly avoid hazardous zones or locations experiencing hazardous weather/environmental risks.
Weather Flexibility: Routes may be adapted on tour day to avoid bad weather or unsafe conditions, ensuring a smooth, enjoyable experience.
